I teach four classes in adult school and would like to include them in Datebk. The times and dates vary. How can I set up the appointments? Are icons useful for this?
I'll give my answer, but how you wish to view data may change the answer. Here is how I would begin to set it up.
1. Create an appointment category called 'Adult School'.
2. Install IconManager onto your Palm.
3. Use IconManager to modify four of the current icons you won't be using. Name each icon 'Class1' through 'Class4' (or whatever your preference).
4. In Datebk, create four appointments. For each appointment:
5. Save each appointment as a template and them delete the original appointments from today's date.
6. When you want to insert an appointment for a class, go to the date of the class, use the appropriate template to create the appointment, and change the time and optionally the appointment's title. The appointment will automatically be in the 'Adult School' category and will have the correct icon.
Datebk allows you to use the List View to filter based on a icon, so you can easily obtain a list of Class1 appointments, or Class2 appointments, etc. Datebk6 allows you to filter by up to four icons at once, so you can also get a list of all four class appointments together.
