The best place to start learning about views is the manual: it contains detailed information for each of the built-in views and for saved views, and it contains a page of examples for how saved views can be useful. The links below will give you additional information.
One important thing to remember about saved views is that they save a "snapshot" of how Datebk has been set up. The best way of creating a custom view is always to get Datebk looking and working exactly how you want it to, and then save the view. Remember that Datebk's appearance when you save the view is exactly how it will appear when you go into the saved view later. Keep this in mind whenever you discover that a saved view isn't right for you any more; get the view working the way you want, then re-save it.
Datebk6 has a new feature that allows you to schedule one or more saved views to start automatically at certain days and times. See the "Repeat Schedule" feature described on DatebkSixManualPage:62. Additional information about this feature would be valuable.
