How To Create a Saved View (by simon A):
Here is how I create a Saved View of the Week View w/Icons showing ONLY TV programs I have scheduled in Datebk.
In my DB I have a category TV with its own icon (a TV!), this category does not show in ANY of the views ie it's normally switched off (I don't watch much TV).
1. First go to the specific view you want to save, for this example Week View w/Icons and switch ON all the categories you want to see (Menu | Options | Select Category), switch OFF all that you don't want (for my example, only TV category shows).
2. Select the number of hours you want to see in this Saved View (Menu | Preferences | Hours to display |Ok), I've selected 24 for this (it helps by the way to do all this in a week You have an occurrence of this item).
3. Select the diamond-in-a-box [<>], which takes you to Custom Views Menu, select ADD, Grafitti in the name of the view (TV Week), select ADD again and you'll see the new view appear in the list, touch the Rtn button on the screen.
4. Very Important: Remember to return all your original Categories & Preferences to the way they were BEFORE you created your new view, and finally when you use a Custom View, ALWAYS when finished touch the diamond button and use the Rtn button otherwise the WHOLE of DB4 will act like a Custom View. To avoid this problem, you can save your "normal" view under a name, e.g. "Default", so you can always return into a certain defined state of affairs. This will not override the "unsaved" settings, but give you another view with your "normal" preferences.
